Y10 Students Undertake “The Oxford Challenge”
In order to raise students aspirations and encourage them to strive to achieve their potential, we set 26 Year 10 students the task of completing “The Oxford Challenge” and reviewing their experience…
“When we first arrived in Oxford on Tuesday evening, none of us knew what to expect. After going on a tour of Worcester College and experiencing mock lectures in Classics and Earth Sciences, it has opened our eyes to all the possibilities available after 18 and it has changed our opinions on the University itself. Then after an inspiring day at the University of Oxford, we all enjoyed a lovely meal at The Banana Tree Thai Restaurant, followed by an amazing yet hilarious Ghost Tour by the one and only Bill Spectre! The next day, after the interesting Ashmolean Museum Workshop, we had chance to look round the city of Oxford. We participated in the Oxford Challenge which allowed us to discover the hidden treasures of this beautiful city. We had time to do some shopping in the amazing Westgate centre! As a whole, this trip has allowed us to make many more friends in our year group and has given us an insight into the world renowned university experience in Oxford.”
